GENERAL OVERVIEW OF GEP PROGRAM

With the rapid growth of business globalization, economy and human resources, English has been widely recognized as a medium of international communication since more and more people from other countries use English to communicate with one another regardless of whether it is a business or personal matter. The quality of English education; therefore, is found to be more vital to the development than ever before.

In response to the market needs, the curriculum of GEP Program is intended to prepare students to become proficient English users who can master in all four macro skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. This program provides comprehensive courses ranging from Nursery to Secondary (Pre-K to Level 12). This program is mainly intended to prepare learners for Cambridge English Qualifications.  Upon completion of each program, students are required to take Cambridge International Exam namely YLE Starters for Kindergarten, KET for Schools for primary Level, and FCE exam for Secondary Level. In addition, students who graduate from this program can continue their studies in the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) or English for Specific Purposes (ESP), and IELTS programs which include IELTS Foundation (Preparation Course) and IELTS Graduation. Moreover, to prepare learners to master in the 21st century education, the curriculum of GEP program is progressively modernized. Various digital tools are integrated such as SPS-Mobile App, App Applications of each course book, and E-Library.

Apart from main courses, extra-curricular activities are added such as computer lab, library, video study, sports, art, music, and digital reading (Raz-kids Program). Students are provided a lot of opportunities to engage in communicative learning and teaching activities both inside and outside the classroom. In this sense, teachers’ qualifications, supportive teaching and learning resources, friendly and healthy learning environment are crucially supported to effectively ensure the students’ academic achievements.
